At North Harbor we believe that engaging the world with the Gospel is a community affair. There is no way to overstate how much our partners in ministry have helped us to effectively minister in the mid-coast Maine region and beyond. Please take the time to check out our key partners below that have walked along side us in this ever-important work.
Converge Worldwide, formerly the Baptist General Conference, is the larger conference with whom we affiliate.
Converge Northeast is the district of Converge with whom we work most closely. Clink the images to learn more about Converge.
North Harbor has the privilege to work with Pioneers to be a sending church for Adam and Kim Forney who serve as missionaries to the city of Brno in the Czech Republic. Check out the Forney's blog above and the website of Betanie church in the city of Brno to catch up on their latest update and happenings.
North Harbor serves as a lead church in the mid-coast region For Safe Families for Children. Safe Families is a volunteer movement that gives hope and support to families in distress through a community of devoted volunteers who are motivated by faith to keep children safe and out of foster care. Please contact Lisa Wells, our Family Ministries Pastor for more information about Safe Families in the mid-coast Maine region (email@example.com).
Several North Harbor volunteers work with The Root Cellar in Lewiston, Maine by training young women in the art and skills of sewing and fashion design. Mentoring relationships such as these are key for helping these young adults of Lewiston to become integrated into the Lewiston community.
Many volunteers at North Harbor serve at China Lake Camp throughout the year. China Lake’s mission is to proclaim Jesus Christ to all of their guests through words and service. China Lake strives to offer Christian hospitality through excellent camping programs, relevant events and retreats, and providing a restful place for families and individuals.
Every fall North Harbor takes part in a global project of bringing the gospel to the disadvantaged throughout the world. Operation Christmas Child is a simple way to have a big impact. Click on the logo to learn more.
Zion is a ministry that currently meets one Saturday per month. It is open to everyone and with a specific focus on being welcoming to the homeless/impoverished. We start with a meal of fellowship and then hold a worship service. We sing several songs, share testimonies & prayer requests, and have a short sermon from God's Word. The night starts at 5pm and usually ends around 7pm. While we hope everyone who attends will be very blessed, we also hope that long-term believers who attend will come ready to be a blessing to others who may not know Jesus (who may simply be there for the food or for a warm place to go).
