How to use the HomeFront Resource:

The HomeFront Resources are a tool for you to help you lead your child spiritually.  Using these resources will help your child encounter the person of Jesus through Scripture and help your family connect with one another about what it means to follow Jesus.  We distribute the HomeFront Weekly flyers to you at the end of their time in Kids' Cove every week so that you have the opportunity to pre-teach the content for the coming Sunday's lesson, thereby helping your child be ready to receive and apply the truths to be taught the following Sunday.  The HomeFront monthly magazine is available for download or viewing online and provides more ideas to help your family create a rhythm of spending meaningful time together.

Ideas for using the HomeFront Weekly flyer:

  • read through the flyer on your own

  • find a time (at least once that week) to connect with your child using the Scripture passage, conversation prompts and activity ideas listed

  • write your child's remember verse on a card/chalkboard/window/mirror (dry erase markers are great for this!) where your child will see it regularly and can practice reciting it to you

  • have fun with the material -- your child will mirror your investment and excitement about this time together connecting about God

Ideas for using the HomeFront monthly magazine:

  • read through the articles on your own

  • plan a regular night (weekly or even monthly) to connect with your child using the suggested activities as a jumping off point

  • try some of the recipes, use the outreach ideas, and get into a groove of making space for fun times and spiritual conversation together

  • feel free to tweak the ideas... this resource is meant to inspire you!
