REACH An outstretched arm, an open hand... grasping for something just beyond it. That is the picture of the lives of people in our community. They are looking for something more, something at once grander and more simple than they have encountered before. Something that will make sense of their lives when nothing else can.
The outstretched arm is not only a picture of who North Harbor exists for, but is a vivid image of who North Harbor is. We are a body of people who have opened our arms to the world. Our lives are an invitation to hear from God, to wager on the risky hope that He exists and wants to know us. We live this way by engaging the community around us instead of partitioning ourselves off from it, by believing that church can be a place where people encounter the Jesus who became one of us.
