Harbor Impact

At North Harbor we have taken a unique approach to missional outreach. Rather than developing a missions program where a number of people within the church get involved, we believe that as followers of Christ, we are all called to live generously, giving our time, skills, and resources to those in need. With that thought in mind we endeavor to lead everyone in our church to live missionally, searching for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to get involved in local and / or global charities.

In short, we believe that generous people ultimately have a deeper impact than generous programs. We do, on occasion, have church-wide campaigns to raise funds for a particular charity such as Operation Christmas Child, Compassion International, Mocha Club, and World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine. However, we mostly strive to empower individuals to realize God’s missional call on their life. The result has been a much more powerful wave of generosity than we could have ever accomplished with a formal missions program.

Below is a list of North Harbor attendees who are involved in local and global missions. We have listed links to the various charities so that you can get more information and in some cases have listed contact information for the individual involved so that you can contact them directly to get more information.
